Printing Images for Your Home

Hello, my name is David. Last year, I moved into a new home with my partner in Perth, Australia. We really loved the place but we soon realised we would need to put some pictures on the walls to make it a little more personal and homely. I am an amateur photographer so I have plenty of great snaps. My partner suggested that I use these and suggested I contact a printing service. The guys at the printing service were great and recommended the best sizes for the screenprints. I was really impressed with the results and I learnt a lot about the benefit of using a printing service. Enjoy my blog!

Looking for Printing Services? 4 Reasons to Choose Digital Printing

When you are in need of printing services, you will have to make a choice between either using conventional printing methods such as flexographic printing or going for digital printing. Both conventional and digital printing methods have their pros and cons. However, digital printing, especially modern digital printing methods tend to be superior options to consider. Digital printing often involves making prints from selected electronic files. Here are 4 ways digital printing will be more beneficial to you.

Cheaper Printing

Among the major aspects that contribute to high printing services in conventional printing are the printing plates required for printing and the related huge setup costs. That is, the use of printing plates means you would have to pay for a plate for every colour on your label. Setting up the plates for printing also requires more time, which translates to high printing costs. Digital printing requires no plates, which means you can actually print a higher number of materials with a relatively lower initial fee. However, remember that the setup costs for digital printing are only lower for short to medium run labels.

Flexibility

Digital printing is highly flexible when it comes to making changes in the design of your prints. Since digital printing makes prints from certain electronic files, the digital data in those files can be updated easily. This means the design of your prints can be manipulated much easily to suit your needs in case you find certain images unsatisfactory.

It is also easier to customise prints with digital printing. You can print every piece of material with different information, making digital printing the ideal solution for prints with information such as names and addresses.

Quality

When compared to other types of printing such as offset and screen printing, digital printing produces high quality prints in terms of consistency. This is because with digital printing, images are stored digitally and not handled by humans. This eliminates human error to produce precise and consistent prints.

Versatility

One major advantage of digital printing is that some types of digital printers, especially those that use UV inks, make it possible to print on a myriad of substrates. Whether it's PVC, wood, or even glass, as long as it fits in the digital printer, it can be printed. This means you have a range of materials on which you can print so you can choose the material you want in terms of factors such as durability, versatility, and costs.
