Printing Images for Your Home

Hello, my name is David. Last year, I moved into a new home with my partner in Perth, Australia. We really loved the place but we soon realised we would need to put some pictures on the walls to make it a little more personal and homely. I am an amateur photographer so I have plenty of great snaps. My partner suggested that I use these and suggested I contact a printing service. The guys at the printing service were great and recommended the best sizes for the screenprints. I was really impressed with the results and I learnt a lot about the benefit of using a printing service. Enjoy my blog!

3 Reasons A Small Food Business Should Use A Professional Printing Company

If you run a small food business, you'll know it can be tough to decide what to do yourself and what to use a professional service for. Whether you have a small shop, sell food at a market or take custom orders from home, how customers see your brand is as important as what they think of your food. If you want to be seen as professional, it's best to invest in your image to ensure your customers are getting the right message about your business. Here are three reasons you should use a professional printing company for your promotional materials and custom labels:

Quality Control

It may be tempting to print out ingredient labels, business cards and leaflets using your home printer, but the finished result won't be as crisp and clear as laser printed materials from a printing company. Additionally, the paper your materials will be printed on will be of a higher quality than would be cost-effective for you to buy if you need less than the bulk packs that business-grade paper comes in.

Product Information

You'll want to ensure your customers can easily access information about the products you're selling, such as the ingredients, allergy information, cooking or heating instructions and best before dates. You can write this information out by hand on blank labels, but your handwriting may not be legible to everyone, and you don't want to risk key information about the products you sell being missed by customers who have special dietary requirements.

Streamlining Productivity

Printing small batches of labels or flyers on your home printer, cutting them to size with a paper trimmer and applying them to your products is time-consuming, and you may not achieve the consistency in appearance you would like. It makes more sense to use your time to market your business, connect with your customers and focus on producing quality food products, particularly in the early days when you'll likely have to wear many hats while you grow your business.

Most printing companies offer packages to suit small businesses, so your printed materials will all match and have the same high-quality appearance. Printers are able to be flexible with print job sizes, so if you only need 50 labels and promotional leaflets, you don't have to worry about being stuck with thousands of pages of printed materials you don't need. Why not get some quotes for the materials you need and compare the cost to the materials you'd have to buy and the time investment required to print everything yourself.
